Route 11. Sustainable Alloz

The circular itinerary around the perimeter of the Alloz Reservoir starts in the car park of the Guesalaz sports centre, in Muez. First, we follow the eastern side of the reservoir and head downstream, visiting the villages of the Guesalaz Valley: Esténoz, Muzqui and Irurre. Before reaching the latter, there is the option to visit the Lerate bathing area.

We then arrive near the dam of the Alloz Reservoir and, leaving it behind, enter the Yerri Valley while following the western side of the reservoir. We head to the village of Alloz, where there are some slopes, and then continue to the car park at Ugar Bay. We then reach the village of Ugar and, after it, encounter a climb towards Villanueva de Yerri. Here, there is the option to detour to the Hermitage of San Cristóbal. Finally, the route continues to Villanueva de Yerri and returns to the starting point in Muez.
