Route 15. Rivalta Meander

Recorrido

We start the circular route at the washhouse in Mañeru. We head south, passing through the mining area and descending towards the banks of the River Arga, crossing an Aleppo pine forest.

We enter the Arga meander until we reach an area set up for bicycle parking, where there is an information panel about the natural richness of the meander. From this point, it is possible to continue on foot along paths that lead into the forest, an area of great scenic and botanical interest.

After returning to the rest area, we retrace our steps to the junction and take the path that climbs beside the corraliza, where we can see a pinnacle-shaped hut typical of the area. The climb ends at the Barranco de Rivalta viewpoint, where we can enjoy panoramic views. We then begin the return to Mañeru with a steady but gentle ascent, passing beside the hut of La Cruz, a restored example of the shelters and storage huts used in former times. From this point, we follow the marked track and reach the town hall. Finally, we return to the starting point of the route.
